The OBP (Optical Bypass Protection) card is an intelligent fiber optic switching system, which is engineered to enhance network reliability by automatically bypassing a failed network node, thereby ensuring uninterrupted service continuity.

The system continuously monitors the power supply and optical signal output status of critical network nodes. In the event of a node failure, the OBP card instantly activates an optical bypass path. This prevents disconnections in the SDH network and maintains seamless connectivity across the entire network infrastructure.
