The 56G QSFP28 Active Optical Cable (AOC) is designed for short-distance interconnections within data center environments. It complies with the 2x32GFC Fibre Channel transmission protocol and is also compatible with IEEE 802.3by 25GBASE-SR, IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 Ethernet standards, as well as InfiniBand FDR/EDR transmission protocols.

This product series utilizes two pairs of parallel multimode fibers for transmission, supporting distances of up to 70 meters over OM3 fiber or 100 meters over OM4 fiber.
