SZVAN Presents Open DWDM DCI Deployments at ECOC 2025, Copenhagen
September 28 – October 2, 2025 | Bella Center, Copenhagen, Denmark
SZVAN Electronics exhibited at the 51st European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC 2025), held September 28 – October 2 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event attracted a record European audience as the AI infrastructure wave extended its reach across the Atlantic.
SZVAN's booth highlighted its Open DWDM DCI coherent module platform, now deployed with Tier-1 operators on three continents. Case studies presented at the booth showed SZVAN's 400G ZR+ modules operating across open line systems in European, Middle Eastern, and Asian DCI networks — achieving 80+ km links with full interoperability between Ciena, Infinera, and Nokia transport equipment.
"Three years ago, open DWDM was a concept. Today, it's a deployment reality," said SZVAN's DCI product director. "Our modules prove that vendor-neutral coherent optics work in production networks, and operators are embracing the flexibility."
SZVAN also presented its 800G coherent module roadmap, with plans for 800G ZR/ZR+ modules in 2026. The company's silicon photonics integration strategy — using SiPh for both digital coherent optics and direct-detect modules — was discussed in a well-attended industry panel session.
ECOC 2025 generated 40+ qualified leads, including interest from Nordic operators building submarine cable networks in the Baltic Sea and Arctic regions.
