SZVAN Targets Middle East Expansion at GITEX Global 2023, Dubai
October 16–20, 2023 | Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE
SZVAN Electronics participated in GITEX Global 2023, the Middle East's largest technology event, held from October 16 to 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. With over 180,000 attendees from 170+ countries and 6,000 exhibitors, GITEX provided SZVAN with unparalleled access to the rapidly growing Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market.
The Middle East is undergoing a data center construction boom, driven by national vision programs such as Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the UAE's digital government initiatives. SZVAN positioned itself as a cost-effective alternative to OEM-branded optical modules for these mega-projects.
At the SZVAN meeting suite, the team presented its compatible transceiver portfolio — from 1G to 400G — with a focus on products that meet the extreme environmental requirements of Middle Eastern data centers, including extended temperature ratings and dust-resistant packaging.
SZVAN's Open DWDM DCI coherent module concept drew particular interest from regional telecom operators planning long-haul fiber routes across the Arabian Peninsula. The company also promoted its OEM private-label service, which resonated with Middle Eastern systems integrators seeking to build their own optical product brands.
"Gitex is the gateway to the Middle East," said SZVAN's international sales manager. "We met with potential distributors from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Oman. The demand for high-quality compatible optics in this region is enormous, and SZVAN is ready to serve it."
